13Mummy - I lost my mom several years ago during the summer, and I know all the Holidays immediately after that were kinda sad. She's in your heart, so she'll be there as your Halloween spirit forever.
As to getting folks to stop by, the flyer idea is great. Do they allow flyers in your local library? Maybe in the grocery store too.
