If you just want to do two skeletons telling jokes, cou can do the scary terry skulls instead of 3-axis. No VSA needed. Get yourself two
Cowlacious ST boards and two servos, you can have these up and running in a day. Mount on a blucky for an inexpensive full skeleton.
Use
audacity to create a separate L and R channel for the dialogue and loop it through a CD player or MP3 player.
