theres a difference in trick or treating and out on a date, ToT demands a costume, Date is a whatever situation.
My house gets hit by all kinds so its not really a problem when people who just want to see dont have a costume, but if they want (demand) candy they had better be dressed up or at least be with a little kid dressed up.
little kids who trash talk the haunt loudly pointing out whats fake and 'not scary' dont get candy. period.
