I know the feeling Dustee. I lost my father years ago and it's really about what you feel he's trying to tell you. I've had many times where I felt that my dad was trying to tell me something, or trying to lean me in one direction versus another in an important decision. If seeing Halloween decor in a certain store far earlier than normal gives you that feeling, I say go with it. There is no right answer for when it's no longer too soon or how much to decorate. You do what feels right, whether it's nothing, or going all out, more than you ever have in the past.
And I also want to express my condolences for your incredible loss. For me, after 7 years it still hurts, but I've accepted the reality of it. You will have your own time table for dealing with your loss. Best wishes for you and your whole family.
