It isn't just
whether someone practices a religion. It's the
type of religion that matters. Some religions, like Catholicism and Lutheranism, which are big in the upper Midwest, don't have a problem with Halloween. On the other hand, evangelical and fundamentalist Christianity, which flourishes in the Bible belt, is more likely to be anti-Halloween. Of course, there are exceptions, but that's the general pattern. Hope I don't step on anyone's toes by saying so.
