IMO, if you know there will be separating, touching, etc, before you go, it would be alright. I havn't been assaulted so I don't find a haunted house reenactment of it personally terrifying. Of course all of this would have to be declared before you pay the entrance fee, and many people would not feel comfortable and not want to go; definetly understandable.
I think I've seen more disturbing things, like dead babies in bloody cribs, which I find sad, not haunted house material.
