An artist? Not really, I minored in art in collage and have done a few murals but it's mainly just crafty stuff and of cource Halloween decorating, Thanks tho. As for the construction, like I mentioned in the first post the tarp is oil treated so it is waterproof and pretty smooth. I started by drawing the window on newspaper I taped together. Then I went over my drawing with a stick of my sons sidewalk chalk. I turned the newspaper drawing upside down on the tarp and gave it a good rub transfering the drawing to the tarp. I then painted it with some old artist acrylic paints I had, but I'm sure u could use exterior house paint as well. If I remember correctly, I got the tarp at Menards for around $70. It's so easy to store- just fold it up. Initially I intended to finish the tarp as a castle, but I don't know now. I like the idea of using foam board somehow with it.
