When I was a child I was always bothered by my bedroom, at night as I lay there and tried to sleep I would see movement in the room and it would take me time to convince myself that whatever I saw wasn't real. One night I woke up in the middle of the night and immediately noticed that my window was open. I was terrified that someone was trying to get into my room so I got out of bed as quietly as possible, watching the open window as I moved across the room toward my door. I ran to my parents and told them what had happened, my father charged into my room with the intention of catching a burgular. He came back a moment later, looking very irritated, and he told me that the window wasn't even open, but rather closed and locked. I was baffled because I know I saw the open window, I felt the fresh air from outside, and I was embarassed that my parents got up when I had apparently called a false alarm.
The second incident was on my birthday many years later, I was having a party at my house and a few friends were there. I had gone into my bedroom to get something and as I turned to leave I noticed movement behind the open door.. I approached and moved the door away and there on the wall was a bright green circle of light, just a little larger than a half dollar. At first I thought that it must be light coming through my window, maybe from the moon or something, so I put my hand over it.. as soon as my hand covered it, no light was shining on the back of my hand.. but rather the orb moved a few inches to the left along the wall beneath my palm. My hair stood on end but I watched with fascination. I reached over and covered it again, this time it moved to the right along the wall. I repeated this process and each time the circle would move directly up, down, left, or right. I opened my door again and the light didn't shine on the front of my door.. so I left the room and beckoned a friend to come see this. When we walked back in and I moved the door to reveal the orb, it was moving in a pattern, it would move about 2 inches up, then down, then center itself.. then move to the left and then the right at a very quick pace. She looked around for the light source that was causing this, and coming up with the only reasoning I had, she tried to cover it with her hand. As soon as her palm laid over the light, it disappeared. We searched both sides of the wall and searched the rooms opposite mine for anything that might have possibly caused this. I never saw the light again.
The third incident was only a few years ago, I have three younger sisters and I am the oldest, one of them is only a year younger than I. One day she was explaining to me this game she learned from her friends using a normal deck of cards. Apparently this 'game' allowed you to speak with the dead. She seemed hesitant but I managed to talk her into showing me how it was supposed to work. The cards can only answer Yes or No questions.. so we picked someone who we knew to have died recently and asked questions that we knew answers to. The cards remained suprisingly accurate. My sister asked the deceased to give us proof that it was there with us. And proof is exactly what it gave us, a moment later in the room one of my neon lights (which I thought had been unplugged) turned on and flickered, we stared at it for a moment and then looked at each other as if to verify that we both saw it, the speed of the flicker increased until the normal neon tube light seemed more like a strobe. Needless to say we both vacated the room as quickly as possible. When we came back into the room the light was broken, nobody else was willing to believe anything we had said about what happened.
I've had a few more crossings with things that could be considered 'paranormal' 'supernatural' or even just 'unexplained' but maybe my old home possessed some sort of energy, because these instances were most difficult for me to find a reason for.
